The ground rules.

A place for touring crew, artists and artist managers to find each other, hold dates and talk. We are not a party to any booking, we don't handle payments, and we don't employ or vouch for anyone listed. Any agreement you reach is between you and the other person.

• You must be 18 or over.
• Use your real identity or the professional name you actually work under. One person, one account.
• Keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• Keep your profile honest: your own work, your real skills, your actual whereabouts.

Sending requests, posting gigs and responding to gigs needs a verified account. Verification means a person looked at what you sent and found it plausible. It is not a background check, an endorsement, or a guarantee of anyone's work or conduct. We can decline or remove verification at our discretion.

• Pretending to be someone else, or claiming to represent an artist you don't.
• Harassment, threats, hate, or sexual content.
• Spam, scraping the directory, or mass unsolicited requests.
• Uploading work that isn't yours or that you don't have the right to show.
• Anything illegal, or using the site to get around someone's block.

You keep all rights to your photos, text and everything else you upload. You give us permission to store it and show it on Strobecall in line with your visibility setting, and nothing more. We don't sell it, license it on, or use it for advertising. Delete it and it's gone from the site.

A hold on Strobecall is a way of pencilling in a date and keeping the conversation in one place. It is not a contract. Rates, deposits, cancellations, travel and everything else are for you and the other person to agree, ideally in writing. We can't mediate disputes about work or money.

You can block anyone and report any profile. We review reports and may remove content, remove verification, or close accounts that break these terms, with or without notice depending on how serious it is. You can delete your own account at any time from account settings.

Strobecall is provided as it is. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we don't promise it will always be available or error-free, and profile information comes from the people who wrote it. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for losses arising from bookings, from other users' conduct, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be limited.

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and tell signed-in users before it takes effect. Carrying on using the site after that means you accept the new version.
